Club Welfare

Orpington Cricket Club is committed to maintaining the ‘Sport England’ accreditation scheme ‘ClubMark’ under the headings:

  • Duty of Care and Safeguarding children
  • The Cricket Programme
  • Knowing your club and its community – One Game
  • Club Management

ClubMark gives the club reward and recognition for its efforts in promoting a safe and fair environment for playing, enjoying and watching cricket.

We have now been ‘ClubMark’ accredited since 2008 and this year we will be implementing procedures and gathering evidence towards achieving 'ClubMark' re-accreditation once again, which lasts for a further three years.

A key component of ClubMark is the Safeguarding and Protection of Children. Overseeing this very important aspect is the Club Welfare Officer, Mary Mason. Please feel free to contact Mary if there are any welfare issues that you want to raise. In the event that Mary is unavailable, such as on holiday you can contact Ian Game. Their contact details are on the Club Info – Contacts page of the website

Many thanks for your continued support of our commitment to ClubMark
